Non-Discrimination Policy

Carver Western University does not discriminate against any person based on race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, veteran, creed, disability, or age in its education programs, services and activities, or in employment opportunity.

  • It is the policy CWU to affirmatively recruit women and men, members of diverse racial/ethnic groups, and persons with disabilities for job categories where they are underrepresented
  • CWU expects that its employees, volunteers, students, and faculty of CWU working on behalf of CWU or participating in CWU online activities, shall maintain an environment free of discrimination, including cyber harassment and cyber bullying
  • Thoroughly investigate instances of alleged discrimination and take corrective action if warranted
  • Make reasonable accommodations wherever necessary for all faculty, students and administrative staff with disabilities, provided that the individual is otherwise qualified to safely perform the duties and assignments connected with the job and provided that any accommodations made do not require significant difficulty or expense

This policy is in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
